Y Our Car Was Towed...
After being home from my mission for a few months, I began a hunt. Not a hunt for animals or for someone to marry but a hunt for a vehicle. One that I could commute with, one that was in decent shape and one that was fairly cheap and in my price range. So I bought a 97' Honda Accord. This is a very well known car because it is just about invincible. There are stories of these cars lasting up until 400,000 miles. I have grown to really enjoy this car. Despite my love for this car, over the past couple months it has taken a beating. Our tires were slashed, it was broken into, hit, etc. My wife and I knew that we had to take care of this car in order for our car to be able to be considered a "miracle car story". So we decided we would get the timing belt changed just to be safe and keep the car in good shape. We took the car in on monday and the auto shop changed the timing belt and had the car up and running very quickly. The workers were very nice and tried to do as much as they could to give us a good deal. Considering that changing a timing belt usually puts a pretty fair size dent in a wallet. When the car was back up and running we began driving it and everything was fine. On Wednesday my wife was driving home from Utah Valley University and all of the sudden she heard "clunk, CLUNK." The car completely shut off and she absolutely could not restart it. We tried having friends look at it and no one could figure out what had happened. So on Thursday we decided to give our car that $60 tow to the auto repair shop. By the time our car got there it was too late to be looked at. So that next morning I called to get the diagnosis on the car. They said a seal had popped off and that they would just fix it for free. They had been so kind to us and I wanted to pay for something. So I decided to ask for a tune up. This they did and had the car ready by 11:30. When my wife went to pick it up the workers said that they had cleaned and changed the oil as well. When Jessica went to pay for the tune up and the oil change. The owner brought her aside and thanked her for not blaming them for what had happened. He said that most people who have car problems the same week they do repairs usually come in waving their angry fists. So he told her, "Merry Christmas" and sent her home without gaining one cent from us. They had replaced the seal, gave us a tune up and changed our oil. We definitely know Y we are going back to Bradford Automotive.
